Midsomer Norton’s Annual Town Meeting 2024 – Event Plan

Date: Thursday, April 18th

Time: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Location: Welton Rovers Football Club

Purpose

The Annual Town Meeting aims to showcase the activities of the Town Council and various community organisations over the past year. It provides residents with the opportunity to engage with local officials, learn about town affairs, ask questions, and connect with fellow community members.

Invitation

All residents of Midsomer Norton are invited to attend the Annual Town Meeting.

Event Highlights

 Meet and greet with the Town Mayor and Town Councillors.

 Learn about the roles, responsibilities, and activities of the Town Council.

 Participate in Q&A sessions.

 Connect with representatives from local community groups, charities, clubs, and organisations.

 Discover local services, activities, and events.

 Network with fellow community members.

 Explore opportunities for involvement in town affairs.

Event Agenda

 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Informal networking, light refreshments and interaction with community organisations’ representatives.

 6:30 pm: Formal agenda begins.

  • Welcome by the Town Mayor.
  • Town Council Reports.
  • Police Report.
  • Reports from local organisations.
  • Q&A session.

8:00 pm: Event concludes.

Additional Information

 Reports from the Town Council and other organisations will be available for viewing and discussion during the event.

 Post-event, reports will be published on the Town Council’s website.
