Sewer renovation in Midsomer Norton – The Island
Wessex Water will be completing repairs to the sewer network in Midsomer Norton in March, a further phase of renovations following work carried out in November of last year.
This work will take place, starting on Monday 11 March 2024 and continuing until Friday 22 March 2024.
How will the work affect you?
Most of the repairs will be carried out using ‘no-dig’ techniques, which are quicker and less intrusive than replacing the pipe in a conventional manner.
- Monday 11 March – Friday 22 March 2024 – There will be incursion into the carriageway incursion and a parking suspension along The Island.
‘No Waiting’ cones will be placed along a 320-metre stretch of The Island to assist with vehicle access.
Access to properties will be maintained and while there may be some noise disruption while this work is carried out, every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum and complete the work as quickly as possible.
Water and sewerage services can be used as normal, unless advised otherwise.
